It is recommended to securely anchor the artificial grass with ground anchors and fill it with sand. The ground anchors provide additional stability for the lawn and its seams. The sand adds weight to the artificial grass, making it lie more stable.

The sand significantly increases the stability of the artificial grass, preventing the lawn from easily shifting. It also supports the artificial grass fibres, reducing the likelihood of them lying flat and extending the lifespan of the lawn. Don't worry, the sand is not visible as the sand grains fall between the blades of grass. We recommend infilling our products with Royal Grass Infill Sand ranging from 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm. The amount of sand depends on the product type and the fibre height of the artificial grass.

With Royal Grass® artificial grass it is very easy to get the fibres stand up again. Once the fibres lie down you can get them up again by brushing the grass. You can use a regular hard broom for brushing your lawn. We recommend contacting your Royal Grass installer if you experience any issues with your lawn.

Yes, weeds can grow in artificial grass. Due to factors like wind, rain, and insects, dirt & seeds can always find their way into the artificial grass, providing weeds with the opportunity to grow. Once weeds appear in the artificial grass, it's advisable to remove them as soon as possible to minimize further growth.

Please keep fire and hot objects away from Royal Grass® (or any other brand of artificial grass) as it is made of high-quality synthetic material that will melt upon contact with fire or hot objects. Under normal use, there is no need to worry about your artificial lawn catching fire. Sand-filled artificial turf has a fire-extinguishing effect and is fireproof, preventing the fire from spreading and even extinguishing it. Please note that only artificial grass with sand infill is fireproof. However, if artificial grass is exposed to open fire for a longer period of time, it can be dangerous.

Artificial grass has numerous benefits, but it has one major drawback: it warms up in the sun, unlike natural grass that has a cooling effect. It can be likened to pavement in this regard.

Yes! Our artificial grass is water-permeable*. The backing of our products contains small holes, allowing water to drain easily and quickly. Tests have shown that Royal Grass can permeate an average of 60 liters of water per square meter per minute. So, you don't need to worry about puddles of water with artificial grass in your garden. *Please note that it's important to build the foundation correctly.

Always contact a doctor as soon as your pet or child has ingested relatively large amounts of artificial grass.

All Royal Grass® artificial grass products are suitable for (domestic) animals. All Royal Grass® products are NEN EN-71-3* tested and found to be 100% safe. NEN EN-71-3 standardisation is used to ensure the safety of toys. Royal Grass® considers it important that all products are safe and non-toxic for children and pets. For this reason, we have our products voluntarily tested according to the NEN EN-71-3 standard. 

Oops! An accident(s) has happened in a small corner. Remove the stool as soon as possible and rinse the spot well with water. Indeed, it can start to smell over time if you don't flush the stool away properly.

No, generally not. When Royal Grass® artificial grass is properly installed, it is so strong that a dog cannot easily ruin it. Every dog is different, of course, but generally they leave the artificial grass alone. In fact, a dog will not dig into artificial grass simply because it misses the smell of fresh soil.
